♥ A-levels!
Hmm what on earth am I doing here?
Okay. To make some sense of my post, good luck to everybody taking the ongoing O-levels!
And similarly, all the best to everybody going to take the A-levels!
In a matter of days! So, I have good reason to be frightened out of my darn wits.
Oh my golly goodness.
*blah blah blah*
Let's get all the rattling over and done with before my GP paper! :)
(NB: This short ramble is going to be posted as something to look back and laugh at when the A-levels are over and should definitely not be taken as a measure of my sanity. Haha!)
Goodbye!

♥ Birthday Party!
Here's a quick (as short and sweet as possible, haha) update about our (me and my lil' brother!) bunny-themed birthday party held just yesterday! Photos are already up on Facebook so this post is for the benefit of my friends without Facebook acounts, hehe! The party was a blast and we stayed up until 4am!! :D
Welcome to the party!
This is what you'll see when you first step in; a basket of party favors for the guest! I hand-packed all of them by myself so they're all filled up with loveee! :) There's a rabbit mooncake and rabbit sweets inside, yum!
These are the balloons Mummy surprised me with! I love the pastel colours! :)
Yay. Wearing my white bunny ears and birthday dress No. 1, holding my pretty balloons and being a very happy girl! :)
Bunny kitchen helpers! Haha so cool, their bunny ears match their outfits!
Adorable Carebear cupcakes!
The Carebear decorations are all either rings or toothpicks! I chose the red/pink one at the top right corner and Thumphy (lil' brother) chose the top left pink/purple one so i could have two rings! :D Haha, more cute childish accessories to add to my collection!
Me and the twins! :)
My bunny birthday cake!
Thumphy's chocolate cake!
With Mummy, our dear birthday party sponsor! Thank you!
Awww 2 adorable bunny babies eating birthday cake! :)
With my Chinese tutor since Primary School, Mrs Koh.
Mrs Koh's cute grandchild; haha she blew her very first balloon yesterday!
Introducing our maid, Lin, who made most of the dishes! :) If you notice, there are coloured papers pasted on the wall behind... They are from the drawing competition we held! Haha every child was supposed to draw a bunny and in the end, the best few walked away with cool bunny prizes! Winners were decided by voting with stickers (each guest gets 2)... Haha cute idea, right? :D
There were many other guests but I don't think I can spend another minute waiting for the photos to get uploaded so I'll just leave it as it is. More photos up on Facebook anyway and I think these here capture the main gist of it! :)
Oh wait, one more!
The cakes with lighted candles! And check out Thumphy's special fireworks candle! Hehe they said it was his canon's fire power! Hahaha geddit? ;P
Haha alright guess that sums up the yesterday! When all the guests had left, we (me, Thumphy, Kor and the twins) spent the wee hours of the morning at the playground, playing cards and watching a movie! And hence our sleeping time of 4+am, lol! Coming up are celebrations with friends, I shall be looking forward to them! :D

♥ Surprise! :)
Hmm its been more that a month since I last blogged!
Haha but laptop's been fixed so I decided to come by for a short post!
What I'm about to blog about definitely warrants a post (even disregarding GP Prelims tomorrow, haha)!
Its this!:
Teenage September 2009 Issue!
Haha now, everybody must be thinking I'm nuts to sacrifice sleep just to blog about a magazine that caters to ages I have gone way beyond (or so I like to think! :D) BUT we should never judge a book by its cover! (I'm not a fan of S.H.E, by the way) What's important is its content!
TA-DA!
Guess what this is?
Wheeee dearest Aisyah sent in a dedication for Hui Shan and I! It should'nt be too difficult to spot us, we're right smack in the middle of the photo (its blur, I know). Haha those good old choir days! That photo of us must have been taken when I was in like Secondary 3? Anyway, back to the point; thank you bestie for the lovely surprise... (it coincides with my birth month too! :D)
Okay that's it. I am aware I might be the only one getting all excited about this but its okay, blogs have always been self-indulgent! :P
Goodbye and all the best for prelims everyone! :)

♥ Sam's birthday!
Last Saturday evening/night was Sam's birthday celebration! I had a great deal of fun despite being the oldest by a rather large amount... but hey, age does not matter when the matter does not age, right? :D Hehe I think that's a nice phrase to use in birthday cards! Must have read it somewhere but I've forgotten where!
So anyway, bowling! It was sooo long since I last bowled and my score was very pathetic! Grrr. Next time, I'll bring my own ball instead of using the lousy house balls! (Hmm but well, its kinda obvious this is just an excuse to save my face, lol!)
The birthday cake! It was Oreomisu from Emicakes and I really liked the bottom part where all the Oreo bits were, yummy! :)
Ooh look, Thumpy is scolding Tiffy! Hehe so classiccccccc. And I have barely moved an inch, I must be the ultimate pro at waiting for the perfect picture! ;)
All together now, snap! :D
Okay I am going to strive to sleep before 12mn tonight, less than 2.5 hours away! I hope I can make it, I'm very sick of waking up feeling sapped of all my energy. Not to metion feeling extremely antsy and grumpy, like an OLD WOMAN! Horror oh horror! :'( So here's to youthful exuberance! I reiterate; age does not matter when the matter does not age!

Its always difficult with little children around...
The older ones have to pose for ages, just waiting and smiling.

♥ FOOD :)
I've always been one who eats to live (as opposed to "live to eat") but I've recently found a whole lot of photos of food on my camera and handphone! Hmm gluttony...
My pictures never do the food enough justice but anyway, in no chronological or whatsoever order, I've decided to post pictures of what I've been eating, hehe.
Toastbox
Oh this was just last Friday! :)
Milo Thick Toast and Traditional Kaya Toast! And I think that's a bit of the Laksa bowl shown at the top of the picture, hahaha...
It was my first time trying Toastbox and though the space was slightly crampy, the food was reasonably good and I like the old-fashioned coffee shop atmosphere, definitely more classy than any hawker centre or food court...
Fathers' Day 2009; Raffles Town Club Dining Room
Oven-baked Lamb Ribs
Snail Soup with Vermouth; wheeee I think this was the highlight of the dinner! It was surprisingly very yummy and I think I even prefer it to my all-time-fave cream of chicken! I was apprehensive about trying it but I'm so glad I did! If anything, this saved the the day/night and made the waiting worth it! Haha I should give escargots a try someday! :)
Beef Tenderloin laced with Wild Mushroom Sauce; this is one of the rare times I actually complained the serving was much too small! Oh wells that's just the way fine dining is... Probably some tatic about always leaving you wanting more? :D Hehe.

Fathers' Day 2009; Raffles Town Club Dining Room
Hmm this was slightly disppointing, I was really expecting much more from RTC as I've had brilliant meal experiences there but I guess due to it being busy on Fathers' Day, the food was served slowly, with great long intervals in between courses. Maybe they thought it would help us appreciate the food better but... not really a good idea when we were all feeling famished. It was quality time spent with the family but I can't help thinking of the good money wasted on service not quite as worth it.
Menu for the night! I didn't take photos of all the courses but those I like more are up!
This was just average... but that's coming from somebody who really prefers ice cream to cake for dessert so don't think my word for it. Haha.
Also served with the meal was sparkling wine! I was a little thrilled (hmm I do realise I sound very amatuer) to hear this since I've never had a whole wine flute to myself ever (with the exception of a wedding here and there) but the adults said it was of lower quality than they're used to. I found it just fine but then again, I don't have anything to compare it to, do I? Lol.
Wheehee! :)
This was done mainly to humour my sister, not for any special occasion. She attempted to draw a yellow heart but failed so I made it a smiley face! Haha its a simple design but I think its cute... Its not shown on the picture but on the side of the cake is my sister's name, flower and big pink and red hearts. I did the more complicated parts of the decoration so it was a shared effort! :)
New York Cheesecake! Mmmm. I know I said I'm not a cake kinda person but this is heavenly! My whole family has a craze about this cake and during the month of June, there was a 50% offer on this, making it ultra affordable and very worth it! We bought like 3 whole cakes coz we thought it was gonna go back to its original price once July started... But guess what? Bakerzin is still having promotion for this cake! For the month of July, its going at 60% off! (Haha my gosh, I'm like doing free advertising for them!) So we bought another whole cake just a few days ago.
Vanilla, Rum & Raisin and Caramel.
The Caramel was actually quite bitter, I didnt like it at all...
But Vanilla was smooth and creamy while the Rum & Raisin was yum-yum! Always can bank on my fave flavours! :D Ooh and the meringue sticks were like little bits of happiness melting on my tongue... Lol what chessy/corny phrasing!

♥ X-box, please!
H2 mid-years are over, yay! :)
Thanks friends (you know who you are!) for the almost daily good luck messages and all, they helped boost my morale a lot! Well my human geography went mighty horrible, goshhh. And there were some other tough aspects of mid-years but they're over so time for a mini break! (Oh man H1 papers are so very spoiler!)
Anyway, I spent a significant portion of today reminiscing about the good old X-box days when I had the luxury to really playyyy. I don't know how I got to all of a sudden thinking about it but since it broke down, my gaming days have never been the same! Boohoo. (Not that I was very pro to begin with though, haha!)
This is quite strange since I don't ever remember playing to the extent of being even mildy addicted... Hmm okay maybe at a certain point of time but that was ages ago! I think it must be those darn A-levels, its making me think of everything I can't have right here, right now. Sigh! I want to get the X-box fixed! (Well not now, but maybe at the end of year!)
So anyway, I downloaded the soundtrack of several songs from DOA Beach Volleyball (my fave X-box game! :D) and well, its not really helping the yearning. Lol. By the way, I think I like this game for all the RIGHT reasons okay! I'm sure its not just the guys who enjoy this game, hehe. It is rather much of a girly-girl game, to be frank. My favourite players are Leifang and Hitomi! :) Hitomi's the one on the left in the picture!
Since I've gotten into the mood, here's another game I used to like! Kungfu Chaos! Graphics are rather childish but nonetheless really cute! I usually choose the monkey as my player because I think he's got the coolest moves, haha! Or there was this pink girl with a blonde poytail, some special character you have to unlock... I like choosing her since I like pink, haha! Gosh I can still vividly remember some of the battle scenes!

When I did play, it was usually under handicap or with the condition that nobody else who was playing (mostly cousins or my brother) was allowed to kill me, lol!
Haha I guess anybody can tell how looooong the X-box has been spoilt by looking at just how outdated the games I'm missing are! Oh man I really hope the X-box gets fixed soon, I don't even see it around anymore! Hmm I wonder where's it's kept away, haha... Oh well, those good old X-box days... May new X-box days come soon! :D
For now, it's the A-level hurdle! Eeks.

♥ CDC Farewell Party 2009!
CDC Farewell Party on 27th May 2009! :)
I decided I'll just post a few pictures here! (And maybe the rest up on Facebook, if I have the time...) It was overall a really fun day! I could tell the J1s did put in a lot of effort so yay, I think CDC is in very good hands! :D
The yummy food! Rather pretty presentation too!
Helping out with the Decorations; blowing balloons!
With Mr. Lee who took such good care of us! :)
As a whole mixed group; some J1s and some J2s!
Monday was Movie Day with Bestie! I find it hard to believe but this is the very first movie we've watched together (at the cinema, that is) since the start of our friendship 5 years ago! Night at the Museum 2; it was quite humourous but the duration of the movie was pretty short... I thought the storyline was cute but nothing really special (same old "villian wants to take over the world but hero saves the day" plot)... Not that I didn't enjoy myself though! Time spent with Bestie is always good! :D

And there was this crazy guy sitting in front of us who laughed in a really funny and very loud way, we found that amusing so it kinda added to the value of the ticket we bought, haha!
Oh and happy 18th birthday to Juanita (4th June)!
I shall look forward to the celebration as a big group after school tomorrow, haha! :)
